Tribhuvan University is committed to becoming a center of knowledge and quality education, fostering a culture of learning within the country, and promoting the concepts of peace and harmony both domestically and internationally. Recently, Tribhuvan University has introduced a semester system in its master's degree programs and is in the process of implementing this system in undergraduate courses. This systematic change aims to enhance the academic calendar's effectiveness, encourage full-time students to study diligently, and alleviate the financial burden on students and their families by ensuring timely degree completion. The reform responds to stakeholders’ close attention to improving higher education quality through raised academic standards, and seeks to revive Tribhuvan University's reputation, recognition, prestige, and contribution as Nepal's oldest and most renowned higher education institution.
