The Asia-Pacific Artificial Intelligence Association (AAIA) was incorporated in Hong Kong, China in 2021. An academic, non-profit, non-governmental organization, it is voluntarily formed by 1,569 academicians worldwide.
AAIA fellows hail from prestigious institutions such as Stanford University, Princeton University, MIT, California Institute of Technology, Cornell University, Columbia University, the University of Oxford, Imperial College London, the University of Toronto, the University of Waterloo, the University of Melbourne, the University of Sydney, Nanyang Technological University, the National University of Singapore, Peking University, Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University. They also include top global scientists in AI-related fields from high-tech companies like Google, Microsoft, IBM, Alibaba, Huawei, and JD.com.
The fellowship comprises academicians (e.g., members of the US National Academy of Sciences, US National Academy of Engineering, Academia Europaea, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Academy of Engineering, Canadian Academy of Engineering, Royal Academy of Engineering, Singapore Academy of Engineering, etc.), as well as IEEE Fellows, ACM Fellows, AAAI Fellows, IAPR Fellows, and more.
AAIA aims to build a broad AI ecosystem by uniting scientists and entrepreneurs across AI applications. Its focus spans dozens of fields, including AI in Ocean, Transportation, Computing, Communication, Robotics, Education, Agriculture, Finance, Medicine, Energy, and beyond.
The Association’s core mission is to foster collaboration among global AI scientists and cross-disciplinary experts. It promotes AI development and application through academic research, exchanges, science education, exhibitions, conferences, publications, summer/winter camps, and other initiatives.
