    On 6 June 2026, the UNESCO Regional Office for East Asia (UNESCO Beijing), the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education (UNESCO IITE), Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) and the International Centre for Higher Education Innovation under the auspices of UNESCO (UNESCO-ICHEI) jointly convened the Global Future Higher Education Summit: A New Ecosystem for AI-Driven Industry-Academia Collaborative Talent Development. The summit brought together representatives from higher education institutions (HEIs), international organisations, and enterprises across multiple countries and regions. Cities such as Shenzhen, characterised by its vibrant technology and digital industries, a hub of innovation, offer valuable practical experience for the integrating frontier technologies and higher education, while also providing important references for international cooperation at this summit. In this context, representatives of partner HEIs, enterprises, and relevant institutions of the International Institute of Online Education (IIOE) Ecosystem, building upon long-term cooperation and a shared vision, have reached the following consensus:
